Job Description
We need a Master Mechanic who will take the lead in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining City vehiclesandequipmentensuring everything from engines to electronics runs smoothly and safely.
What are the Qualifications to Be Considered?
- Be at least 18 and possessa High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At leastthree (3) years ofexperience in diagnosis, repair and overhaul of gasoline and diesel internal combustion engines and automotive mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Certification in Air Conditioning and Refrigerant Recovery, and Air Brakes are required within six (6) months of hire date.
- Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
- A passing grade on the written portion of the Class ACDL exam is required before employment.
- Be willing to work snow routes that include 12-hour shifts during the months of November thru March.
- Successfully complete a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, and physical agility assessment. (Subject to the Department of Transportation's (DOT) drug and alcohol testing requirements.)
Additional Qualifications -While not required, the following skills, experience, and training can help set you apart from other applicants:
- Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification.
- One (1) - Two (2) years of Welding experience.

- Keep the City's fleet running safely and efficiently through expert diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Overhaul and service a wide variety of vehicles and heavy equipment using advanced tools and mechanical know-how.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure the shop stays safe, clean, and organized.
- Use parts and materials wisely to support reliable, cost-effective fleet operations.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks: The starting hourly wage is $24.19 per hour and will increase to $25.15 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.

WORK HOURS: Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. Some after hours required.
WORK LOCATION:City of Branson Service Garage as well as in and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
