Job Description
As a Master Planner/Scheduler, you will be responsible for converting demand and supply plans into an executable master production schedule. Each day, you will translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule. Additionally, you will establish key performance indicators to measure the accuracy of the master plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate projected forecasts (S&OP), incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule.
- Establish key performance indicators to measure the accuracy of the master plan.
- Ensure interaction with functional managers and maintain the forecast through timely and accurate feedback.
- Assemble master schedule reports that encompass performance against the business plan, shipment plan, inventory plan, and production plan.
- Evaluate current planned levels of demand and create tactical production plans to meet identified customer demand.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field preferred, OR Associate's degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, operations, or materials management.
- 8+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, materials management, or manufacturing operations within a standard-product environment.
- Experience working with MRP/ERP systems, bills of material, routings, inventory control, and capacity planning.
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Proficiency in Excel and data-driven planning tools.
- Working knowledge of Lean/continuous improvement principles.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field preferred, OR
Associate's degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, operations, or materials management.
Experience: 8+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, materials management, or manufacturing
operations within a standard-product environment. Experience working with MRP/ERP systems, bills of material,
routings, inventory control, and capacity planning.
Skills: APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification. Proficiency in Excel and data-driven planning tools. Working knowledge of
Lean/continuous improvement principles.
