Job Summary:

To guarantee the availability of parts, supplies, material, tools, equipment, cost data, and other activities necessary to support the overall efforts of the Plant Engineering Department.

Job Description:

  • Submit all necessary information to purchasing to assure the prompt and accurate ordering of parts, supplies, and material, and to track all orders placed to assure prompt receipt of items needed.
  • Assist with customer service issues in Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), resetting passwords, entering user information, assisting department personnel with application issues.
  • Help maintain an inventory system of parts and materials for the departments to assure the ready availability of items needed to carry out repairs and servicing of the equipment under the department responsibility.
  • Assist in the maintenance of software systems used in the office environment by knowledge of Access, Excel, and other software package used in the department.
  • Share responsibility of answering and screening calls as needed when Department Secretary is unavailable. Represent the department effectively and professionally when interacting with internal and external customers to both in person and on the telephone to ensure courteous, accurate and timely response.
  • Set up and maintain the equipment file for the department including all equipment manuals, significant repair history documentation, and other pertinent service information on the equipment in order to guarantee the availability of all information required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • High School Diploma

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with Maintenance Activities & Equipment
  • Familiarity with hardware and parts
  • Familiarity with routine office procedures and the methods.
  • Knowledge of software packages used in the office environment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that will meet SEH insurance requirements

Kind and Length of Experience:

  • 2 years experience in clerical work utilizing software packages such as spread sheets, Microsoft word and office automation.
  • 2 years Maintenance office or related field

Non-Exempt
