What You'll Do:

Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines.Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk)Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products.Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area.Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested.

What We're Looking For:

One year or recent forklift/warehouse experienceAbility to proficiently and safely use forklift to transport products, load/unload trucksAbility to understand and follow directionsAbility to work independently at times under pressureAbility to handle physical tasks, such as lifting up to 75 lbs.Ability to read/comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc.Safe work record and stable work history

The fixed rate is $18.86 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other job-related considerations. BlueLinx also offers a comprehensive benefits package including health care, dental, vision, life and disability insurance starting the first day of the month, and 8 paid holidays per year.
