MATERIAL HANDLER
SUMMARY:
The Material Handler will ensure that the quality and quantity of packaged goods conform to the company's and customer's standards before shipment. They will aid in the stacking, packing, and transportation of parts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stack and pile finished goods into containers.
- Prepare goods for shipment.
- Pack them following a specific set of instructions.
- Clean and prepare containers for packing.
- Check to ensure containers are damage free.
- Verify if items pulled out of package are correct.
- Fill out forms and papers to record measurement, weight, and product count.
- Remove completed or defective products or materials
- Review packing lists.
- Seal, label, and tag containers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 1 years of boxing / packing experience
- Prior experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
- Education: High School
- Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
- Able to stand the majority of the shift to perform duties (8-12 hours shifts)
