ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs all tasks in a safe manner. Comply with all plant/company safety and food safety programs along with PPE and GMP protocols.
  • Maintains accurate storage and inventory records.
  • Operates Fork and Clamp trucks to move WIP rolls and skids as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Maintain shredder and shred any scrap paper or rolls and keep shredder area clean.
  • Reporting and Replacing bale wires and maintaining ALL balers.
  • Blowing out and cleaning ALL 3 balers. (on rotating schedule)
  • Load scrap Bales, Stub Rolls, Split Cores and misc. items onto scrap truck.
  • Weigh, log and stack scarp bales in designated area.
  • Clean, maintain, and declutter shredder area with 5S focus
  • Shred ALL damaged rolls.
  • Maintain all broken wires and operate wire chipper.
  • Help Material Handling team as needed.
  • Practice good housekeeping in all warehouse areas.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft operating systems required.
  • Strong computer skills with a basic understanding of word processing and spreadsheet applications, preferably Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
  • Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or related work preferred.
  • Previous working knowledge of BPCS system a plus.
  • Fork truck and clamp truck operation experience required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with reading and writing comprehension.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

The ability to read, learn, understand, and consistently apply all policies, procedures including safety. Must be able to do mathematical calculations. Ability to communicate effectively and possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to operate a forklift and clamp truck and obtain annual certification. Standing, stooping, kneeling, twisting, bending, reaching, pulling for 6+ hours during 8-12 hour shift. Lifting required up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the day. Tasks are performed in a production or warehouse environment which includes noise and moving equipment.
