Material Handler

Key ResponsibilitiesReceive materials to be crated for inventory or shipment.Cut, measure, and assemble box crates to specifications. Fit brackets, fasteners, nails, and parts onto crates.Bolt, clip, nail, and tighten parts by hand using hand tools or portable power tools.Operate forklift once certified to move product. Complete or verify forms, documents, labels, and other information to ensure inventory accuracy.Unload and receive materials for warehouse indirect usage.Maintain clean and organized assigned areas. Follow 5S Terex protocols and guidelines.Assist coworkers with identifying and resolving operational or service concerns.Perform other duties as assigned. Experience & QualificationsHigh school diploma or experience equivalent required.Minimum 1 year of previous warehouse/distribution, inventory, picking, shipping, receiving, or assembly-line experience.Minimum 1 year of experience using measurement and woodworking tools, including table saw, jig saw, hand tools, and pneumatic tools. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to learn and understand safety, continuous quality, and Lean principles.Ability to adjust to just-in-time requirements within a reasonable period.Self-motivated and able to work without constant direction. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Good basic math skills.Ability to read and comprehend detailed written and oral instructions. Ability to match materials, parts, and supplies to written lists.Flexible and able to work in an environment with constantly changing priorities and continuous improvement.Ability to lift, pull, push, and guide medium-weight objects up to 50 lbs. regularly.Must demonstrate the ability to follow instructions and work safely.
