You will be based in our Springfield, TN location. This will start at 3:00pm and ends at 11:30pm Monday through Friday day depending on production needs.

Summary:

The Factory Supply Chain Tech (Materials) is responsible for supporting daily warehouse and line-side material operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of components to point-of-use (POU). This role bridges execution and coordination by supporting supervision in planning, material flow, inventory accuracy (IRA), and operational performance.

The role ensures production lines are consistently supplied, material shortages are proactively managed and escalated, and all physical transactions are accurately executed in the system. The position plays a critical role in leverage EMS tools, 5S, red tag, problem solving, maintaining flow, improving route efficiency, and supporting KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your main tasks:

  • Ensure uninterrupted material flow to production lines by coordinating material availability, picking, staging, delivery, and line-side replenishment activities. 

  • Support daily warehouse operations, including picking, kitting, staging, inventory movement, and line feeding, while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency. 

  • Monitor and maintain inventory record accuracy through accurate system transactions, cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, and inventory reconciliations. 

  • Proactively identify, communicate, escalate, and resolve material shortages and supply risks to prevent production disruptions. 

  • Support execution of daily material plans aligned with production schedules, ensuring materials are available when and where needed. 

  • Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics, including line shortages, on-time delivery, picking accuracy, inventory accuracy, productivity, and equipment downtime, while supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions. 

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process optimization efforts that improve material flow, operational efficiency, and space utilization. 

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and material standards, including Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) inspections, equipment readiness, and proper material storage and labeling. 

  • Create, track, and escalate maintenance, IT, and facilities tickets impacting operational performance, ensuring timely resolution of issues. 

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while promoting a strong safety culture and adherence to company policies and procedures. 

  • Support supervisors and team leaders with daily workforce coordination, training, standard work implementation, and operational execution. 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for material flow, inventory, and warehouse-related issues, collaborating closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless operations. 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in materials management, warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or inventory control. 

  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment. 

  • Proficiency with ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office applications. 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. 

  • Working knowledge of inventory control, material planning, warehouse operations, and production support processes. 

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 5S methodologies. 

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage competing priorities, and drive issue resolution in a dynamic environment. 

Preferred Certifications:

  • Forklift / Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) Certification 

  • APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) 

  • APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) 

  • Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification 

  • OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour Safety Certification 

  • Inventory and Warehouse Management Certification (IWM or equivalent) 

  • Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, or 5S Certification 

  • First Aid/CPR Certification (preferred) 

  • Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Certification or Trainer Qualification (preferred) 

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift to 35 lbs-70lbs.

  • Able to Walk and/or stand for long periods of time

  • Able to bend at waist, able reach above the shoulder level.
