Job Description
Responsibilities: To process and receive, materials and equipment, and maintain inventory control and records; perform related work.
- Completes accurate tally of goods and services received, which includes: weight, destination, and charges from bills of lading and shipper's declaration
- Receives incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers
- Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates retrieval of proof of delivery documents
- Partner with inside sales to review and correct customer order discrepancies
- Communicates with transport companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace, or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders
- Resolves discrepancies on the Metalware system or on manifest
- Keeps records of materials received and uploads to the Imaging system for the team to access
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Related industry experience preferred
Requirements:
- Possess effective communication skills, which include verbal and written
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn mainframe program (Metalware)
- Start time varies from 7am-8am with a consistent 8-hour-a-day schedule
