We are searching for the best talent for a Material Supply Management Specialist.
In this operational role, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing risk management for raw materials and purchased parts across our strategic suppliers and their critical sub‑tier partners within the JJSV Equipment network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure forecasts 12 to 24 months are shared with suppliers and critical sub-tiers suppliers
- Support S&OP process and regular meetings with suppliers and critical sub-tiers suppliers to identify, prevent and or mitigate any risks.
- Implement Risk Management process that support pro-active early warning of risks and processes to mitigate
- Support and implementation of Master Production Plans with our suppliers
- Provide periodic Capacity Analysis for selected suppliers and critical sub-tiers suppliers
- Closely coordinates with Manufacturing, Plan, Source, and Category Source on any material / parts escalations
- Support assessment and implementation of any dual sourcing strategies for raw material and purchased parts.
- Support implementation of VMI for selected suppliers
- Lead and implement risk management for any new product launches within the JJSV portfolio.
- Lead and drive escalations with and through STEM / RRT Escalation Management in case of any escalations regarding raw material of purchased parts
- Provide financial analysis on impact and recovery related to escalations
- Build effective relationships with all core functions as part of the Milpitas team (Make, Source, Plan, Engineering, and Supplier Eng. Quality) but also including Transport and Marketing / Demand Planning
- Align any critical supplier requirements – where appropriate – with Category Source to ensure that these requirements are captured in contracts or contract addendums.
- Identify improvement areas to optimize current processes and costs
- Drive efficiencies and CIP’s. Undertakes optimization to increase efficiency and quality and to reduce costs. Measure CIP progress throughout year and report monthly progress.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Strong experience in implementing, leading and driving the operational management of Suppliers and/or cross functional projects
- Proven Supply Chain Operations experience in a complex environment with specific emphasis on Planning and Project Management
- IT affinity with setting up and understanding customer portals / interfaces is an advantage as we further digitize the (planning) relationship with our External Manufacturers.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office required: creating reports, planning, analysis etc.
- Ability to create robust / simple executive summaries from (large) amount of data
- Project Management experience required
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) APICS – Preferred but not crucial
- Demonstrated evidence of driving customer experience.
- Excellent collaborator; strong on partnering, partner management and effective interpersonal skills at all levels within a company
