Job Description
Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, or "CRMC", is a 25-bed, non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. As a rural hospital, CRMC is surprising because of its large size and wide variety of services. Although we can provide many of the same services you will find in a big city, we take great pride in our friendly and caring staff.
The Central Supply Technician will assist in the daily receiving, inventory and stocking of all facility supplies along with assuring accurate charging of materials and supplies. S/he will collaborate and assist with the Director, Lead Buyer, and the Storeroom Lead in the various functions needed to ensure the proper receiving, inventory, and distribution of supplies throughout the organization.
JOB DUTIES:
- Deliver superior quality in all efforts of providing materials and supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Collaborate effectively with all departments in the organization to maintain proper inventory of stocked items within the hospital and clinics.
- Cross-train as needed to assist in the efficient operation of the department.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to reduce costs.
- Ensure procedures are effectively followed so that all charges are appropriately captured and entered daily.
- Monitor usage and inventory levels, assuring proper stock revolution to maximize use of supplies prior to expirations, as applicable.
- Provide accurate inventory counts of supplies including correct stock number, quantity, and condition.
- Assure proper storeroom rotation of expiring supplies.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy
The Central Supply Technician assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public.
- Detail oriented with the ability to multitask.
- Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, as well as stand, walk, talk, hear, sit; reach with arms, hands and fingers to handle and feel; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; taste and smell as demonstrated by passing the pre-employment physical administered by CRMC at offer, required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- H.S. Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent work experience in field, required.
- 1-2 years’ healthcare materials management, stock room or inventory experience, preferred.
- 1-2 years’ supervisory experience, preferred.
