The Materials Planner will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials within the Procurement & Supply Chain department of a technology & telecoms company. This position requires a detail-oriented professional to manage inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and optimize supply chain processes in Exeter.

Description
- Plan and schedule material requirements to support production and operational needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure the timely replenishment of stock.
- Collaborate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any delays.
- Coordinate with internal departments to forecast material needs and align supply chain activities.
- Analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve processes.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and company policies in all procurement activities.
- Generate reports and provide updates to management on material status and inventory levels.
- Address and resolve any material shortages or overstock issues proactively.

Profile
A successful Materials Planner should have:
- A background in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and supply chain tools.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.
- An analytical mindset to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of the technology & telecoms industry is a plus.
