MEALS ON WHEELS DRIVER - HORIZONS | Cedar Rapids, IA Part-time · M-F, Generally 9:30 am–1:30 pm

About the role

Make a real difference in the lives of older adults and people with disabilities. As a Meals on Wheels Driver for Horizons, you'll deliver warm meals - and a friendly face - to community members who count on your visit.

What you'll do

Deliver accurate, timely, and temperature-appropriate meals to clients and designated drop-off locations
Assist in packing coolers, review meal counts before distribution, and load/unload vehicles
Perform daily safety check-ins with clients and maintain sanitary delivery practices
Keep vehicles clean and in working order; adhere to all driving laws at all times
Complete required paperwork and communicate daily progress with your team and supervisor
Support pantry operations and other tasks as needed

Requirements

Valid Iowa driver's license and auto insurance
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR check required)
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to lift up to 40 lbs; walk and stand for extended periods
Reliable transportation to and from work
Must pass a criminal history and background check and pre- employment drug/alcohol testing
