Measurement Technician II
Location: Orrville, OH
Your role in our success:
The Measurement Technician II is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of control stations, receipt points, and meter/regulation facilities within the assigned area. The role performs preventive and scheduled maintenance and assists with field inspection, inventory, and material procurement for measurement projects.
What you'll be working on...
- Performs general maintenance and troubleshooting of pressure control stations, district regulator stations, receipt/delivery points, heating systems, generators, valves, actuators, meters, and RTUs.
- Investigates and monitors odorants and gas system compliance.
- Monitors fluids, filters, tanks, and strainers via visual inspection.
- Performs calibrations of transmitters, pressure monitoring devices, and volume correctors to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Inspects and conducts corrective maintenance on sites, regulators, valves, batteries, actuators, and meters.
- Documents meter readings and reports discrepancies.
- Performs meter testing using meter provers and ensures proper documentation.
- Communicates regularly with Gas Control, SCADA, Construction, and Engineering.
- Participates in engineering design reviews, material selection, and equipment reviews.
- Maintains inventory of critical materials.
- Evaluates Operator Qualifications for other technicians.
- Shadows new technicians and provides technical guidance.
Who you are...
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalency required
- Related Experience: Five (5) years in instrumentation, electronics, or gas equipment maintenance/operation
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and experience troubleshooting industrial equipment.
- Skilled with hand tools, diagnostic tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, diagrams, codes, and manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers.
