Diesel Mechanic, experienced
Pay range is up to $18.00 + per hour, depending on experience!
Background: Northwest Hardwoods is the premier Hardwood Lumber producer in the industry, serving the furniture, cabinet, molding, and millwork segments worldwide. We operate manufacturing facilities throughout the United States.
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Diesel Mechanic.
Job Description/Expectations/Key Functions:
- Reliable person with knowledge, skills, and ability to service, troubleshoot, and repair most common mechanical problems on equipment, diesel engines, forklifts, and log loaders.
- Able to exercise sound judgement in determining work methods and procedures.
- Must be able to receive assignments verbally or through written instructions with minimal supervision.
- Independently perform PM's, test and adjustments.
- Furnish your own hand tools for the necessary classification.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities for the following:
- Effectively communicate with service manager and coworkers.
- Must have 3 to 5 years of Mechanic experience
- Keep pace with industry standards in order to make sound recommendations.
- Maintenance and repairs for extensive mobile heavy equipment and trucking fleet. Loader, forklifts, skid steers, trucks, trailers, and more.
- Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventive maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Must be able to perform strenuous and heavy work.
- Must be flexible in work hours
- Must follow NWH Attendance Policy
