Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Construction Estimator, your responsibilities will include:

1. Utilizing your knowledge and experience in HVAC and pipe fitting to develop comprehensive, detailed, and accurate estimates for our mechanical construction projects.
2. Applying your knowledge of the Baltimore and Washington DC area to assess project feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
3. Leveraging your conceptual estimating experience to develop innovative strategies for project execution and cost-saving.
4. Coordinating with the project team to transition from a bid to a proposal, ensuring all project specifications, requirements, and timelines are accurately captured.
5. Using Quote Soft estimating software to prepare cost estimates, and analyzing data to determine cost benefits and financial impact.
6. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope, requirements, and potential challenges.
7. Reviewing technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate cost estimation.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Construction Estimator position should have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering office and field experience in the contracting industry.
2. Trade school education in a relevant field.
3. A valid Journeyman License.
4. Extensive knowledge of the Baltimore and Washington DC area.
5. Proven conceptual estimating experience.
6. Experience in estimating mechanical projects up to $10 million.
7. Proficiency in transitioning from bid to proposal.
8. Experience with Quote Soft estimating software.
9. Strong understanding of HVAC installation and pipe fitting.
10. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
12. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
13. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
14. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
15. Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
