Primary Skills: AutoCAD 2D (advanced), GD&T Application (advanced), Drafting Standards Knowledge (advanced), Machine Design Principles (advanced), Manufacturing Processes (intermediate)Contract Type: W2 Duration: 6 Months with possible extension Location: Novi, MI (#LI-Remote) Pay Range: $65.00 - $70.00 Per Hour on W2#LPJob Summary:This role is responsible for reviewing and red-lining engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and manufacturability before they are released. Success in this position requires a deep understanding of machine design principles and adherence to international drafting standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with CAD software and a strong grasp of various manufacturing techniques.Key Responsibilities:
- Review mechanical drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide detailed correction markups on engineering drawings.
- Ensure designs meet manufacturing specifications and industry standards.
- Verify tolerancing and fit for manufactured components and assemblies.
- Document mechanical calculations to validate design integrity.
- Extensive experience with 2D AutoCAD.
- Proven proficiency in applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Comprehensive knowledge of national and international drafting standards.
