Job Description

This is NOT your typical Mechanical Engineering position! You will be part of a “THINK TANK” developing custom mechanical / robotic / motion controls solutions to further the company’s development and production programs.

GNR has been retained to identify an innovative MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER with a passion in engineering first-generation, innovative precision machine systems and solutions.

You’ll be part of a small group white-boarding and creating solutions that don’t exist, the end application could serve different purposes; high precision assembly, metrology instrumentation, or lab equipment.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Able to work in a small collaborative team across various disciplines to architect and design electro-mechanical / robotics / motion control systems.
Experience with material selection, electro-mechanics, and different manufacturing processes – machining, additive, microfabrication etc.
Strong analytical experience, part design & systems, tight tolerance and modeling.
Ensure performance & functionality before transitioning your system to operation / manufacturing center
Fluent with 3D CAD tools: SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor, Autodesk
5-20 years of experience with Mechanical Design with BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Physics or Engineering
Experience with any of the following types of equipment design: metrology, semiconductor, lab/medical, precision mechanical designs, automation/visual inspection systems, surgical robotics
US Citizen / Perm Resident
