Job Description
Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Life Sciences
Location: South Carolina | Onsite
Duration: 6 Months+ (Strong extension possibility)
Job Summary
We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience supporting Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device manufacturing environments.
Key Requirements:
- Mechanical equipment and process system design experience
- Strong 3D modeling, CAD, engineering drawings, and P&IDs
- Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or Inventor
- Knowledge of GD&T, mechanical components, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with equipment selection, vendor coordination, and design reviews
- Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and ASME standards
- Ability to support installation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
