- Responsible for the production of designs and review of existing designs identified in plans, specifications, submittals and shop drawings.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.
- Identify design, process and equipment options that can satisfy client requirements, minimize costs and limit potential operational problems.
- Interface directly with other disciplines and coordinate with client personnel, contractors, architects, and other project team members to ensure value engineering and the delivery of high-quality projects within the prescribed time frames.
- Make presentations when necessary.
- Develop and design calculation tools for the Engineering Group.
- Utilize advanced understanding of building codes and standards in the design process.
- Active Professional Engineering License.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Advanced understanding of all MEP calculations and design.
- Proficient in all Design Software (i.e. CADD, Calculation Software, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and technical writing skills.
- Knowledge of engineering and design techniques plus understanding of all engineering disciplines.
- Ability to develop and design calculation tools for the Engineering Group.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of team members to achieve project goals.
