Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical  Design Engineer – Direct Hire in York• Offered Salary $80,000• Full time position 8:00am – 5:00pm• Full insurance package, Medical, Dental, Vision, Supplemental• 8 paid company holidays• Retirement/401K• Manpower is partnering with a leading manufacturing company to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with experience designing custom machinery and working in a fast-paced production environment.Key Responsibilities

• Create conceptual designs, detailed drawings, and assembly layouts for conveyors and bakery/food processing equipment
• Develop fabrication-ready drawings in accordance with company standards
• Produce detailed layouts to ensure proper tolerances and clearances
• Participate in and contribute to design reviews
• Manage project timelines by tracking progress, coordinating tasks, and resolving issues
• Apply strong technical knowledge to troubleshoot and solve design challenges
• Independently complete assignments within established timelines
• Identify required materials and generate purchase requisitions
• Perform engineering calculations, including motor sizing and structural integrity

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Mechanical preferred but not required 
• 3–5 years of design experience in a manufacturing or machinery environment
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
