Job Description
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Fort Worth, TX for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will support the Flight Test Instrumentation team on F-35 programs. This role focuses on mechanical design, harness routing, engineering drawing release, work instructions, airworthiness documentation, fabrication support, and aircraft modification support for flight test equipment and data system components.
Required Skills
- STEM degree required; mechanical engineering or aeronautical engineering degree preferred.
- 3+ years of recent CATIA V5 experience.
- 3+ years of 2D/3D mechanical design experience in an aerospace environment.
- Experience with mechanical design and harness routing.
- Ability to support installation design for flight test equipment and data system components.
- Ability to release engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Ability to support airworthiness documentation.
- Ability to monitor fabrication activities and support aircraft modification work.
Preferred Skills
- Flight or ground instrumentation experience.
- F-35 program-specific tools and processes experience.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
What You’ll Do

Pay
- $90.00–$110.00/hour
