Job Description
The Panther Group is seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to support a premier aerospace and defense client in Fort Worth, TX. In this role, you will join the Flight Test Instrumentation team supporting the F-35 program, contributing to the design, installation, and integration of flight test equipment and data acquisition systems on advanced military aircraft.This is an exciting opportunity for engineers with strong CATIA V5 experience and aerospace design expertise who want to work on one of the world's most advanced fighter aircraft programs. Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical installations and mounting solutions for flight test instrumentation systems.*
- Develop harness routing and equipment integration designs for aircraft modifications.*
- Create and release engineering drawings, models, and supporting documentation.*
- Prepare work instructions and support airworthiness documentation.*
- Monitor fabrication and installation activities to ensure compliance with engineering requirements.*
- Support aircraft modification efforts and resolve design-related issues.*
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and flight test teams throughout the project lifecycle.*
- Ensure designs meet program, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or another STEM-related discipline.*
- Minimum 3 years of recent CATIA V5 experience.*
- Minimum 3 years of 2D and 3D mechanical design experience within an aerospace environment.*
- Experience creating engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation.*
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, installation design, and manufacturing processes.*
- Active Secret Security Clearance.*
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Experience supporting flight test or ground test instrumentation programs.*
- Previous experience supporting the F-35 program.*
- Familiarity with F-35 tools, processes, and engineering documentation requirements.*
- Experience working with aircraft modifications and instrumentation installations.*
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical system integration.
- 4/10 Schedule*
- Four 10-hour days per week*
- Full-time onsite in Fort Worth, TX
