Job Description
Duration: 6 months contractJob Description:
- We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in mechanical product design, CAD modeling, engineering analysis, and manufacturing support.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting complex mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, product requirements, and applicable military or commercial specifications.
- This role requires strong expertise in PTC Creo Parametric, mechanical engineering principles, GD&T, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, and support mechanical products, assemblies, mechanisms, structures, and complex engineered systems.
- Create, modify, and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings using PTC Creo Parametric 11.
- Perform engineering analysis, design verification, testing, and evaluation of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, models, and test results to ensure compliance with engineering standards and product requirements.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical recommendations for product improvements.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, technical reports, design packages, and manufacturing documentation.
- Minimum 4 years of mechanical design engineering experience in a product development environment.
- Strong experience designing mechanical components and assemblies using PTC Creo (Pro/ENGINEER or Creo Parametric).
- Experience creating detailed manufacturing drawings and 3D CAD models.
- Knowledge of engineering design, testing, validation, and product development processes.
- Experience working with manufacturing teams, fabrication shops, or suppliers to support production.
- Experience with Creo Parametric 11.
- GD&T (ASME Y14.5-2009 or Y14.5-2018)
- Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
