Job Description
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer- QA Location: Agoura Hills, CA (Onsite Only) Duration: 12+ months, with potential for permanent hire based on demonstrated skills, capabilities, and knowledge Payrate: $80 to $90/hr. on W2Six Sigma or Design for Six Sigma certifications desired Overview: Join a high impact engineering team in Agoura Hills, CA where you will design and develop cutting edge electromechanical assemblies for the world s leading electronics manufacturers. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high density systems in a collaborative fast paced environment with likeminded engineers. Key Responsibilities: Design high density electronics packaging for large scale systems using innovative mechanical techniques Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to gather requirements, share insights, and align on design goals Perform tolerance analyses to ensure parts meet functional and manufacturing requirements Translate high level requirements or problem statements into actionable design concepts, validate through analysis and prototyping, and present findings in design reviews to peers. Conduct and clearly communicate structural analyses using hand calculations and FEA tools Contribute to large scale projects as part of a high-performance multidisciplinary team Create detailed part and assembly drawings using GD&T standards Manage CAD files and design data using SolidWorks PDM Required Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience Quality and process improvement background- Six Sigma or Design for Six Sigma certifications desired Strong background in electronics packaging including PCBA and PCB development processes Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD and PDM software Deep understanding of machined and sheet metal part design; experience with injection molding castings and 3D printing is highly desirable Familiarity with locating features datum structures and ASME Y14.5M GD&T standards Hands-on experience assembling prototypes and troubleshooting mechanical issues Proficiency with Client Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams Ideal Candidate Qualities: Excellent communication skills able to clearly articulate technical concepts to peers, management, and cross functional teams Intellectual curiosity a proactive learner who seeks to understand the why behind design decisions and continuously improves their craft Team oriented mindset thrives in collaborative environments and values diverse perspectives Problem solving attitude approaches challenges with creativity resilience and a focus on practical solutions Kamran Beg (862) 398 1371 Kamran.beg@artech.com
