This individual will contribute to the development of mechanical and structural systems, supporting projects from early concept through production. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who works well in fast-paced environments and enjoys both technical design and physical implementation.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CADCreate engineering drawings, technical documentation, and bills of materialsSupport structural analysis and design optimization in collaboration with internal or external partnersBuild, assemble, and test prototypes to validate performance and functionalityWork with vendors and manufacturers to produce custom parts and assembliesManage design tasks to meet project timelines, performance requirements, and cost targetsCommunicate design progress, challenges, and solutions with cross-functional teamsRequired QualificationsAerospace, Aircraft, Aviation or Defense design experience is required Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldExperience working with Injection Molded Plastics, Composites, Metallics 2+ years of mechanical design experience in a professional environmentExperience with CAD software and mechanical design principlesFamiliarity with common manufacturing processes such as machining, molding, or additive manufacturingHands-on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or assemblyStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaborativelyMust be eligible to work on projects subject to U.S. export control regulationsPreferred QualificationsExperience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar toolsFamiliarity with structural analysis or simulation toolsExperience working with complex mechanical systems or assembliesExposure to regulated or high-performance engineering environmentsInterested in hearing more?
