A growing engineering and manufacturing firm in Hackensack New Jersey is seeking a versatile Mechanical Engineer to join a collaborative team environment. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys a high level of variety and the opportunity to impact multiple areas of the business.
Role OverviewThe Mechanical Engineer will handle a range of responsibilities from technical design to cross functional coordination. In this small team setting you will be expected to transition smoothly between engineering tasks and operational support ensuring projects move from concept to completion efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and refine detailed technical drawings using both 2D and 3D drafting software.
Collaborate closely with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and improve system reliability.
Partner with procurement teams to source materials and evaluate vendor specifications.
Interface directly with customers to discuss technical requirements and provide project updates.
Manage multiple project priorities simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
QualificationsA bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
Proven experience with 2D and 3D drafting tools.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.
A hands on approach and a willingness to assist in various departments as needed.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is considered a strong plus for this position.
