Job Description

Our plastics manufacturing client in the Washington, PA area is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work with the sales team as well as on the manufacturing floor.

-Design, develop, and optimize molds for plastic injection molding processes-Collaborate with sales to review customer requirements, support quoting, and provide technical guidance-Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and recommend improvements-Oversee mold builds, modifications, and repairs with toolmakers and external vendors-Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support on the production floor-Improve manufacturing processes, cycle times, and product quality through continuous improvement efforts-Conduct testing, validation, and performance analysis of molds and processes-Maintain accurate engineering documentation, drawings, and compliance with safety and quality standards

-Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field-2+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing or mold design (preferred)-Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)-Strong understanding of injection molding processes and tooling design-Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and sales personnel-Hands-on, problem-solving attitude with a willingness to work on the shop floor
