The Mechanical Engineer II will:

  • Develop mechanical design concepts and performance specifications that meet customer, marketing, and environmental requirements (IP, MIL‑STD, drop, vibration, thermal).
  • Perform engineering analyses including tolerance stack‑ups, stress modeling, material selection, and statistical evaluation of test data.
  • Create 3D CAD models and detailed drawings of components and subassemblies using CREO.
  • Prototype, test, and iterate mechanical designs; support mechanical and environmental verification testing and document results.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, ECNs, specifications, and cost estimates for tooling and mechanical components.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and suppliers to ensure DFM/DFA, cost‑effectiveness, and production readiness.
  • Support production and quality teams in resolving design or process issues on existing products; participate in MRB activities and discrepant material reviews.
  • Coordinate project activities across internal teams and vendors; communicate risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with other related duties as required or assigned.

About you- What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of mechanical engineering experience in product development.
  • Proficiency with PTC CREO or similar parametric CAD tools.
  • Strong understanding of plastics, elastomers, die‑cast metals, overmolding, and mechanical integration with PCBs.
  • Experience with DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, and mechanical verification testing.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, hands‑on engineering environment with strong follow‑through and communication skills.
