Position Summary
Scientific Games is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our innovative team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the design, development, and testing of complex mechanical systems within a dynamic technology company.Job Responsibilities
Assist senior engineers in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for gaming and lottery products.
Conduct research and analysis to support design decisions, including material selection, manufacturing processes, and performance specifications.
Create and update CAD models and technical drawings using industry-standard software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to problem-solving efforts.
Support the prototyping and testing of mechanical designs, including data collection and analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, software engineering, and manufacturing.
Perform other duties as assigned by engineering staff.
Job Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Strong understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, and thermodynamics.
Familiar with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo).
Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, and sheet metal fabrication is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical aptitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A passion for innovation and a keen interest in the gaming and lottery industry.
