Venteon is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located in Shelby Twp., MI
The Mechanical Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and implementation of advanced tooling and automation systems for the automotive sector. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing processes, robotics, and automation, with a specific focus on applications within the automotive interiors and body-in-white domains. The manager will serve as a key technical liaison for the sales and marketing teams, providing expert support to define product capabilities, assist in client presentations, and ensure our solutions meet market demands.
Requirements of the Mechanical Engineering Manager
- Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).Strong understanding of robotics systems (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA, ABB) and their integration.Proficiency in reading and creating pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, CNC machining, and welding.Familiarity with machine safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ANSI, ISO) and ergonomics principles.Fluent in Business English, both written and verbal

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineering Manager
Team Leadership & Development:oLead, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical engineers and designers.oFoster a collaborative environment focused on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.Technical Oversight:oProvide technical direction and expertise in the design and development of custom tooling, jigs, fixtures, and automated assembly lines.oEnsure all designs meet performance, safety, and cost specifications.Sales & Marketing Support:oWork closely with sales and marketing to understand customer needs and market trends.oServe as the primary engineering point of contact for technical inquiries during the sales cycle.oDevelop technical content, presentations, and product demonstrations to support business development efforts.oParticipate in client meetings to present technical solutions and capabilities.Project Management Support:oSupport project managers in developing and managing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.oCollaborate with project management to ensure successful and on-time delivery of engineering projects.oProvide technical guidance and risk assessment to project teams.Innovation & Strategy:oDrive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies in automation and robotics.oContribute to the long-term engineering strategy,
