A high-growth energy and automation company in Hayward, CA is seeking a Mechanical HVAC Controls/BAS Engineer to support advanced energy efficiency, HVAC optimization, and building automation projects. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Mechanical HVAC Controls/BAS Engineer position include:

5+ years of advanced controls knowledge with the ability to develop energy efficiency scopes for existing buildings.
Experience with HVAC, BAS systems, mechanical equipment, and system operations.
Ability to independently walk buildings, document chillers, boilers, AHUs, VAVs, pumps, controls, and other equipment, then produce energy savings reports.
Develop scopes of work, existing conditions summaries, controls deficiency lists, sequence of operations intent, and proposal narratives.
Identify HVAC, controls, VFD, AHU, VAV, boiler, chiller, and pump energy-saving opportunities.
Use Excel and Google Sheets to organize project data, with CAD/Revit experience considered a plus.
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, vendors, and internal project teams while reporting directly to the COO.
Support ASHRAE-style energy assessments, savings logic, trend log requests, and contractor scope development.

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
