Title: Manufacturing Engineer II - AssemblyDuration: 12 MonthsLocation: Davenport, IA 52809Shift: 1st Shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Salary Range: $45- $50 based on Experience Competitive salary based on experience
Introduction
We are seeking a skilled engineer to support our operations in Davenport, IA. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to enhance the efficiency and quality of our Articulated Dump Truck (ADT) assembly line. This is a 12-month contract position on the 1st shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM). Candidates must be U.S. citizens and willing to relocate at their own expense.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience with manufacturing processes, quality, tooling, preventative maintenance, and facilities
- Experience with engineering tools and manufacturing execution systems
- Experience leading and implementing projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills with operators, peers, and leadership
- Self-motivated and able to execute with minimal supervision
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology discipline or equivalent related work experience (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical engineering preferred)
- Strong personal accountability and follow-through
- Ability to foster a positive, engaged team environment and identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas for Articulated Dump Truck assembly operations
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Lead and manage small to moderate scope capital projects
- Establish and maintain layouts, labor standards, methods, and sequence of events for assembly operations
- Analyze, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies
- Provide support and troubleshooting for current assembly operations
