Position Title: Mechanical Robotics Design SupervisorPosition Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Direct Hire Mechanical Robotics Design Supervisor opportunity located in Lynchburg, VA.Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures effective performance of engineering assignments.
- Plans and directs the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned.
- Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
- Ensures adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.
- Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
- Works interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
- Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
- Works on special projects, as directed. Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.
- Bachelor’s Mechanical Degree in Engineering
- Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required.
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates.
- Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills.
- Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills.
- Proficiency with Solidworks & hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
- Experience with robotics or tooling design, Nuclear experience is a plus.
- Significant prior experience supervising teams of people and mentoring junior engineers.
- Highly organized.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

- Salary Range: Market Rate.
