JOB TITLE: Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer 2LOCATION: Berkeley, MOPAY RATE: $48/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Security Clearance: Secret clearance not required to start but must be obtainable

Qualifying Questions:

Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role?
Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary?

Summary:

Support development and documentation of mechanical, fluid, and thermal systems
Assist with system design development, maintenance, and modifications
Provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users
Perform detailed mechanical design and system installation modifications
Support spatial integration at system and component levels
Contribute to work involving mechanisms, landing gear, and ordnance systems
Assist with preparation of technical documentation
Support engineering proposals and business development efforts

Requirements:

Secret clearance not required to start but must be obtainable
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
2+ years of engineering experience OR a Master’s degree in an engineering discipline
Degree must be from an accredited engineering program
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience with Siemens NX
Experience with mechanical systems integration
Familiarity with aerospace or defense engineering environments
