Job Description
Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Med Surg Neuro Registered Nurse (RN) for a top Healthcare client.
This dynamic role provides compassionate and reliable care to adults with a focus on neurological conditions, injuries, and post-operative recovery within a patient-centered model. The RN is required to perform thorough clinical assessments, analyze data to determine diagnoses, and manage treatment autonomously while collaborating within a supportive, interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.Job Responsibilities
- Collect comprehensive patient data pertinent to health status or clinical situations and analyze the assessment data to determine priority diagnoses or issues.
- Identify expected, individualized outcomes and develop a plan of care that is appropriate for the patient and the situation.
- Act as an advocate for patients, protecting their safety and collaborating as part of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Educate patients and their families regarding medications, procedures, and treatments, providing necessary support throughout their stay.
- Ensure effective and efficient use of time, supplies, and equipment while administering treatments and interventions.
- Provide direct patient care and treatment to acutely ill, injured, or recovering adults, utilizing autonomous clinical assessment skills.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and educational efforts accurately and promptly in the patient's medical record.
Requirements
Education
- Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) experience is Required.
Certifications/Licenses
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or Multistate license, or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) is required prior to start.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
