Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Billings, MT | Contract, On-site

ABOUT THE ROLEWe're hiring a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to provide patient care during three 12-hour night shifts each week. You'll assess patient needs, deliver nursing care, and coordinate treatment within accepted standards of practice. Night shifts have a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, and travel pairs are allowed.

WHAT YOU'LL DOPerform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing practice standards.Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care through ongoing collection and assessment of patient health data.Provide health teaching, health counseling, and supportive and restorative therapy and treatment.Support care through consultation, delegation, supervision, and teaching of others.Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.Use resources as needed and perform other assigned duties.Float to other departments within your scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORHold an ASN from an accredited School of Nursing.Hold a current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or a compact RN license.Hold current BLS certification.Hold ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification as appropriate for the unit or service.Be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

NICE TO HAVEBring previous experience as a Registered Nurse.Hold a bachelor's degree in nursing.Hold additional certification appropriate for the unit or service.

SCHEDULE & BENEFITSThree 12-hour night shifts per week, with block scheduling available. Travel pairs are allowed. You may be placed on call during a regularly scheduled shift.
