Join Hagadone Media Montana as a Sales and Business Development Leader
Hagadone Media Montana, a family-owned company, is seeking an experienced Sales and Business Development professional to drive growth across Flathead County markets, including the Daily Inter Lake, Whitefish Pilot, Hungry Horse News, and Bigfork Eagle.

This role is about more than maintaining accounts. It is about finding new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. If you are ready to create impactful media strategies and close deals, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth: Meet monthly revenue targets through individual sales efforts and team collaboration. Drive new business development while retaining existing client relationships.
- Client Engagement: Spend 70 to 75 percent of your time in client meetings or in the field prospecting for new business and maintaining key accounts.
- Business Development: Develop and execute strategies to expand advertising channels, including digital, podcasts, newsletters, and other emerging media.
- Sales Strategy: Work with the advertising director to launch initiatives that drive business development and overall sales growth.
- Networking: Represent the company at community and business events, connecting with key stakeholders and local chambers to generate new business opportunities.
- Customer Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with all accounts, guiding them through a consultative sales process to meet business needs and deliver results.
- Project Monitoring: Track progress and performance of sales and business development projects to ensure goals are met.
- Additional Duties: Support broader business development and sales objectives as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Sales Expertise: Strong background in business development, account management, negotiation, and outside B2B sales strategies.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategies that align with company goals and expand into new media and digital channels.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated, independent, and solution-oriented, with a strong drive to achieve goals.
- Organization and Efficiency: Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, business development, and revenue generation, preferably in media or advertising
- Strong negotiation, client management, and business development skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and outside sales strategies
- Valid driver's license
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or related field
