Job Description
Insero Talent Solutions is thrilled to partner with a local law firm in their search for a Legal Assistant (Medicaid) to join their growing team.
This role is responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to attorneys in regards to Medicaid applications and procedures. This person will also back up the trust & estate department as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents related to Medicaid
- Manage and organize client files
- Communicate with clients on their cases and respond to inquiries as needed
- Coordinate with banks and government agencies to retrieve required documents
- Set up meetings and conferences for attorneys
- Research and investigate any requests, problems, and resolve with appropriate parties
- Provide backup support for preparing wills, trusts, and other legal documents
- Witness document signing as requested
- Track and enter billable work
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant and knowledge with the Medicaid application process
- Associates Degree preferred, High School Diploma required
- Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
- NYS Notary is a plus
