Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and certified Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
- Record patient history and personal information.
- Perform routine clinical tasks, such as taking vitals and administering injections.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
- Provide patient education and answer questions regarding treatments and procedures.
- Assist in office administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems (preferably Epic).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Knowledge of Spanish language is an advantage.
