Medical Assistant (Certified) We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/CST) to join our growing team at a Gastroenterology Surgical Center specializing in colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures.This role is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented professional who can support both clinical and administrative operations to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient workflow.Position SummaryThe Medical Assistant will perform a combination of clinical and administrative duties, assisting providers and nursing staff before, during, and after procedures. This position plays a critical role in maintaining patient flow, ensuring compliance with protocols, and delivering an excellent patient experience.QualificationsPrevious experience in a healthcare setting (surgical center or GI experience preferred)Strong organizational and multitasking skillsExcellent communication and patient service skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environmentHigh attention to detail and commitment to patient safetyRequirementsGraduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or current CST certificationCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) certificationCurrent TB test and Flu ShotHepatitis B and Varicella immunity (titers required)COVID-19 vaccinationFluent in Spanish and EnglishPreferred Qualifications (Optional but Strongly Recommended)Experience in gastroenterology or endoscopy proceduresFamiliarity with EMR systems (e.g., ModMed or similar)Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocolsExperience in ambulatory surgical centers (ASC)Work EnvironmentFast-paced ambulatory surgical centerTeam-oriented environment with close collaboration between providers, nurses, and administrative staffHigh patient interaction with focus on comfort, safety, and efficiencyWhy Join Us?Opportunity to gain specialized experience in gastroenterology proceduresSupportive and collaborative team environmentProfessional growth in a structured clinical setting
