Medical Assistant, In-Office Procedures

Full-Time | Jacksonville, FL – Riverside

We’re looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant who’s ready to support both patients and providers during in-office procedures. In this role, you’ll prepare patients for visits, assist with procedures, maintain sterile environments, and ensure accurate documentation—helping providers deliver seamless, high-quality care.     General Summary

    • Facilitate communication between patient and provider, including intake, vitals, EMR documentation, and procedure prep.
    • Prepare exam and procedure rooms, including stocking, sterilization, and equipment set-up.
    • Assist providers during in-office procedures by prepping injections, handing instruments, and monitoring sterile technique.
    • Maintain patient safety, HIPAA compliance, and universal precautions throughout all procedures.
    • Support care team with records, scheduling, supply management, and patient follow-up communication.
  • Essential Functions
    • Prepare patients for visits, including intake, vitals, EMR documentation, dressing removal, and procedure set-up.
    • Assist providers during in-office procedures by prepping injections, handing instruments, and maintaining sterile technique.
    • Maintain patient safety, HIPAA compliance, and infection control standards.
    • Sterilize and clean procedure rooms; stock exam rooms and monitor equipment/supply needs.
    • Support care team with patient records, scheduling, and responding to voicemails/tasks.
    • Create and promote a positive patient experience at every point of care.

    Requirements

    • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
    • Prior medical assistant experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of outpatient procedures, patient safety standards, universal precautions, and surgical equipment use.
    • Strong organizational skills, adaptability, time management, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Compassionate, patient-focused approach with strong communication and teamwork skills.
