Job Details

Key ResponsibilitiesRoom patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical historiesAssist providers with exams, procedures, and patient carePrepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies and equipmentAdminister injections, medications, and immunizations (as permitted)Perform basic lab procedures, specimen collection, and point-of-care testingAccurately document patient information in the electronic health record (EHR)Provide patient education and support follow-up care instructionsCoordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and care follow-upsMaintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelinesSupport a team-based care model focused on quality and patient outcomes

Qualifications1–3+ years of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a community health or FQHC settingMedical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)Experience working with diverse and underserved populationsStrong understanding of clinical workflows and patient care proceduresFamiliarity with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsBilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plusAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
