Kansas City Allergy & Asthma has been serving the Greater Kansas City Area since 1979. We're proud to be Kansas City's premier caregivers for allergy, asthma and immunologic diseases.
We are seeking a full time Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team.
This position is a great opportunity to gain professional experience in a private, specialty medical office setting; As an MA, you will also work a set schedule that allows for work/life balance (i.e. no nights!).
The MA is an integral member of our clinical team. Working alongside nurses and providers on a daily basis, ensuring efficiency and quality care for patients.
Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming patients into our practice and assisting with their questions
- Preparing patients for the health care visit by
- Verifying their information
- Reviewing and recording medical history
- Taking vital signs
- Confirming purpose of visit or treatment
- Supporting patient care delivery
- Completing records by entering orders as directed by physician and recording test results into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Preparing exam rooms for patients
- Keeping supplies stocked and ready, placing orders, and verifying receipt
- Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy work environment
- Maintaining patient confidence and protecting operations by keeping patient care information confidential.
Starting wage range: $17 - $22/hour

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Experience
