Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant, you will set the stage for each patient visit by scheduling appointments, preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and patients, case managers and employers are kept informed as necessary. You will also help manage the medical supplies inventory, set up and calibrate machines and testing equipment, and clean instruments and rooms as needed.   Your strong administrative skills and attention to detail will allow you to manage the high volume of incoming new patient requests by verifying insurance approvals, coordinating with patients and providers to manage scheduling and intake, as well as assisting the team with outgoing referrals for specialist care.  The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about the occupational medicine specialty, and previous experience with worker's compensation, Washington State LNI, DOT exams, spirometry, audiology, and BAT.  New Graduates are encouraged to apply.   Spanish or other second language fluency skills are a plus!!  Pay range of $21.00 to $28.00 depending on education, experience and certifications.Responsibilities
