$26.19 - $38.77
Overlake Medical Clinics has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Certified Medical Assistant to join the procedure side of our Urology Clinic.
Job responsibilities include instrument sterile processing, assisting in a variety of procedures including placements of catheters and vaginal estrogen rings, rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and documenting patient interactions via electronic medical record.
Full-Time/Day Shift
Monday-Friday / 8 hour day shift
$5,000 sign-on bonus for new hires
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Graduate of a certified medical assistant program or previous military training/experience that satisfies Washington state standards required.
Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C) or Interim MA-C through WA State DOH required (the latter must obtain regular MA-C within 6-months of hire).
Current healthcare provider CPR certification required.
Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
Experience with EMR applications, EPIC preferred.
MA-registered:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of six months experience working as a Medical Assistant-Registered or Nursing Assistant-Certified is required.
Current healthcare provider CPR certification required.
An applicant for a medical assistant-registered credential who applies to the department within seven days of employment by the endorsing health care practitioner, clinic, or group practice may work as a medical assistant-registered for up to 60 days while the application is processed. The applicant must stop working on the 60th day of employment if the registration has not been granted for any reason. WAC 246-827-0320. The medical assistant-registered credential terminates when the MA-R separates employment with the endorsing healthcare practitioner, clinic or group practice.
