Job Description
Full-time position open for a Medical Assistant in our Triage Department.QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate or equivalent At least 2 years’ experience in the medical field is preferred Needs to pass a basic background check for criminal history, & OIG exclusionsJOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Triage is responsible for prepping the charts for the clinical staff Vitals (weight, temperature and blood pressure are performed on every patient) Responsible for updating pertinent clinical information (medical history, medications, allergies and surgery history) Escorting patients from the lobby to triage and then to the appropriate sub waiting area Knowledge of medical terminology experience and EMR knowledge preferred Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor Ability to work independently when required / appropriateWorking hours for this position are: Monday through Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm and Friday 7:30 to noon.Benefits, 401K, free parking are all offeredSALARY DOE
- We have a large population of elderly patients, you will be responsible for assisting and navigating patients with walkers, and wheelchairs to Triage and through the clinic.
- Attention to detail when entering or updating medical information and medicines into the EHR system
