Job Description

Clinical Duties:

  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures

  • Record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration)

  • Assist providers during examinations

  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens

  • Perform basic lab tests (urinalysis, blood draws, etc.)

  • Administer medications and injections as directed by a physician

  • Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and equipment

  • Update and maintain patients’ medical records

  • Explain treatment procedures, medications, and diets to patients

Administrative Duties:

  • Greet and check in patients

  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow

  • Answer phones and respond to inquiries

  • Verify insurance and process billing/coding information

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

  • Handle correspondence, filing, and data entry
