Job Description:

The Medical Assistant facilitates patient care by assisting patient through system.  Support clinical staff and maintain office environment.

Desired/Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Certified Medical Assistant, i.e. complete course work for medical assistant.      

Experience: 

  • Two years of work experience in similar job or work environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Assist in the delivery of patient care through the oversight of provider schedules and the management of associated office workflow.

  • Prepare and deliver patient record for clinical exchange in a manner that maximizes efficiency and quality of care.

  • Maintain office environment; to include the stocking of supplies in exam rooms.

  • Function as a team member by expanding responsibilities as directed by management to facilitate optimal workflow within the cancer center.

  • May be pulled to work at other CHC sites based on clinic and patient needs.

  • All other duties as assigned.
