Job Description

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | No Weekends

Foot & Ankle Specialists, P.C., a division of US Foot & Ankle Specialists, is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our busy podiatry clinic. In this role, you’ll work closely with physicians providing hands-on patient care and assisting with in-office procedures in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of clinical care and patient interaction and wants to expand their skills in a specialty practice.

We offer hands-on training, clinical in-service training for employees, and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Welcome and room patients, take vital signs, and update medical histories in the EMR
  • Assist physicians with minor procedures, wound care, injections, and post-operative care
  • Perform digital X-rays and assist with podiatric services such as nail care and diabetic shoe fittings
  • Apply dressings, strappings, and durable medical equipment (DME)
  • Process lab specimens and assist with prescription requests and insurance verifications
  • Schedule appointments, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize instruments

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience
  • CMA or RMA certification preferred
  • Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred)
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment
  • Detail-oriented, professional, and patient-focused
  • Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
